Hello, my name is Tyler!

I’m a 30-something, Bay Area creative with a big heart and even bigger personality.

My journey to graphic design started back in High School with a simple prompt for our Senior Project: Do Something You’ve Always Wanted To Do!  While many of my peers elected to do things like skydiving; my goal was more creative, although no less fearless.

As a huge film buff, I’d always dreamed of someday being a part of the moviemaking universe. Now saddled with this assignment, I decided this was THE time to turn that dream into a reality. As a very imaginative child that always dreamed up stories, it felt appropriate to try and write a screenplay.

As the semester was winding down and the deadline was quickly approaching, my teacher recommended I design a fake movie poster as my presentation visual aid to the class. It wasn’t long into designing the poster for The Wrong Side of the Bed that I realized I enjoyed that much more than any aspect of drafting a screenplay.

In that tiny, somewhat insignificant moment, for a rather insignificant assignment; I ignited a passion and unearthed a strength I didn’t know I had.

There was something about condensing my film down. Distilling it all into a single graphic with a handful of words that just seemed extremely challenging and very rewarding. It felt like Id found a new language that I could use.

Fast forward to today, whether it be helping a small business establish their brand or the summation of an entire film into stunning key art, at the core of it all; I see all design problems as opportunities to tell stories.

Let’s tell stories together! I can’t wait to hear from you.
